Thousand Tortoises Mountain is part of National Geological Park Laojun Mountain in the Liming area. The mountain consists of red sandstone and from far away the top of the mountain looks a bit like a thousand tortoises running forward to one direction, hence the name 'Thousand Tortoises Mountain'.
