Xiong Brothers also rents out mountain bikes and is the home of Fat Tyre Fun, Kunming's oldest cycling club. Fat Tyre Fun organizes two competitive races each year and also hosts open rides in and around Kunming leaving the shop at 9am every Saturday.

these are for rent... great bikes by the way, got one for a 4-day trip and it was perfect!

Great stuff - pricey. And I asked the manager/owner(?) about buying a used bike - she said they don't have (?) or sell (?) used bikes (er shou). But they have a couple of racks of used/rental bikes in front. Eh?

I've been going to their shop occasionally (whenever I need a major repair/overhaul) since 10 years ago. To sum it up, they treat their customers' bikes like their own! Great care and attention to detail combined with professional skills equals a great bike shop.
