A small Old Town about 15 kilometers north of the city of Lijiang. Yuhu Village was long ago the summer playground for Lijiang's Naxi chieftains. It commands spectacular views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and maintains a slow and traditional atmosphere. Many of the houses in Yuhu are made of multicolored stones. The town also features Jade Lake, a lovingly manicured park set around a calm and placid lake. Today, the town has been restored and maintained in a way that preserves its ancient character.
